Regulating AI in the Creative Sector
MEIA and Solidarjetà invite members, creative workers, and stakeholders to take part in an important discussion on the use of artificial intelligence in creative work and the arts.
This conversation comes at a critical moment. Following the open letter signed by more than 220 creatives regarding the use of AI by broadcasters, Solidarjetà and MEIA are now in the process of determining their position on AI in the arts. That position will help guide future advocacy, inform policy engagement, and shape any agreements signed on this issue.
As organisations representing creatives, we believe this position must be informed directly by the people most affected. It should reflect the views, concerns, and priorities of our members and Malta’s wider creative community.
For this reason, we are opening this meeting to all members, creative workers, and relevant stakeholders. Your participation is essential. Without your input, your perspective cannot be reflected in the position we adopt.
The meeting will take the form of a structured discussion, offering space for meaningful exchange on a topic that is both timely and consequential. The outcome of this conversation will have a direct impact on how MEIA and Solidarjetà approach AI regulation and advocacy in Malta.
We encourage everyone with a stake in the future of creative work to attend and contribute.
