
Survey for Creative Professionals in Performing Arts
MEIA is conducting an important survey to address the growing need for establishing standardized remuneration practices in Performing Arts in Malta. This research is part of an overall independent study commissioned by MEIA to Culture Venture to establish a rate card for artists in different artistic fields. The project is supported by Arts Council Malta.
Why is it important?
The research aims to establish fair wage regulations within the sector, ensuring a sustainable framework for creative professionals. It supports equitable resource distribution, fostering a more supportive ecosystem for both public and private endeavors. By addressing systemic issues like fragile infrastructure and bureaucratic delays, MEIA seeks to correct the unequal allocation of resources. Furthermore, it fosters improved governance, financial transparency, and merit-based leadership to promote accountability. Ultimately, this research pushes for fair and efficient payment systems, ensuring timely and adequate compensation for creative professionals in Performing Arts.
Who can participate?
This survey is open to all the creative professionals in Performing Arts in Malta. All responses are anonymous. The survey is designed so that responses cannot be traced back to individual participants, ensuring complete anonymity.
