Call for Expressions of Interest - MEIA Advisory Board

As part of its internal structural reform, the Malta Entertainment Industry and Arts Association (MEIA) is creating a new Advisory Board.

The Advisory Board is intended to provide MEIA with broader representative and strategic support, bringing together knowledge, experience, and perspectives from across the sector and beyond. This may include sector organisations, creative workers, legal and financial expertise, institutional perspectives, and other voices that can help strengthen MEIA’s credibility, accountability, and policy engagement.

In this way, participation can be more focused, effective, and sustainable.

MEIA is therefore inviting expressions of interest from individuals who may wish to contribute to this advisory role. We are particularly interested in people who can support MEIA’s work in areas such as: performing arts, film and television, visual arts, education, finance, legal, policy, commerce and economy, and employment.

The Advisory Board’s role would be to contribute insight, perspective, and expertise that can help MEIA remain a trusted, representative, and influential voice for the sector.

Through this process, MEIA aims to preserve what it already does well: advocacy credibility, sector trust, policy access, and cross-sector dialogue, while building a more sustainable structure for the future.

Members will receive an annual honorarium in recognition of their contribution and expertise.

Who should express interest?

We welcome expressions of interest from individuals who:

  • Have relevant professional, sectoral, institutional, legal, arts education, financial, governance, or policy experience;
  • Understand the challenges and opportunities facing Malta’s creative and cultural sectors;
  • Can contribute constructively to strategic discussion;
  • Value transparency, collaboration, and sector-wide representation;
  • Are committed to strengthening MEIA’s long-term role and impact.

How to express interest

Interested individuals are invited to submit their CV and a short expression of interest outlining:

  1. Their background and relevant experience;
  2. The perspective or expertise they could bring to MEIA;
  3. Why they are interested in contributing to the Board of Advisors;
  4. Any potential areas of focus they would be particularly well placed to support.

Expressions of interest should be sent to admin@meia.org.mt by 25 September 2026.

We look forward to hearing from you.
