Envision 2050 is a national initiative shaping Malta’s long-term development. It sets a clear direction with measurable targets for 2035 and beyond, unifying various sectoral strategies under one comprehensive framework to guide the national progress until 2050.

Why is it important for the creative and cultural sectors to be included in the future mapping of Malta?
It is essential to recognize the creative and cultural sectors as a fundamental, horizontal element within Malta’s socio-economic landscape. Envisioning Malta in 2050 requires these sectors to be fully integrated, not only as drivers of innovation and economic growth but also as champions of our identity, social impact and community.
Future mapping for Malta must place artists and cultural workers at the heart of this vision, ensuring they are protected and empowered to work freely and sustainably.
