MEIA Awarded Arts Council Malta Funding Through 'Investing in Cultural Organisations, Strand 2'

The Malta Entertainment Industry and Arts Association (MEIA) is proud to announce that it has been awarded three-year funding (2026–2028) by Arts Council Malta under Investing in Cultural Organisations, Strand 2.

This funding will support MEIA’s strategic programme aimed at strengthening Malta’s cultural and creative sectors through research, advocacy, professional development, and international collaboration. The programme prioritises sustainability, fair working conditions, and cross-sector growth, ensuring a professional and future-ready cultural ecosystem.

Over the three years, MEIA will:

  • Develop Malta’s first Code of Practice for Fair Work in the performing arts and pilot a Ratecard certification system.

  • Deliver research and insights into the visual arts sector, guiding policy and funding decisions.

  • Expand initiatives such as the Culture at Work Conference, promoting innovation, youth engagement, and international exchange.

  • Conclude with a comprehensive evaluation and strategic outlook for 2029–2031, laying the foundation for continued sector growth.

MEIA would like to thank Arts Council Malta for its support and looks forward to collaborating with artists, organisations, and partners to deliver this impactful programme over the coming years.
