MEIA Consultation: Malta Biennale 2026 Feedback
Following its recent public statement on Malta Biennale 2026, the Malta Entertainment Industry and Arts Association (MEIA) is launching a sector-wide consultation to better understand the experiences of artists and cultural practitioners engaging with the Biennale.
MEIA recognises the ambition behind the Malta Biennale and its role in positioning Malta as a platform for contemporary artistic dialogue. At the same time, initiatives of this scale carry significant responsibility, particularly in ensuring transparent processes, strong governance, and professional conditions for those involved.
As part of this process, MEIA is inviting individuals with relevant experience to share their perspectives through a short survey.
We welcome all forms of feedback, whether positive, critical, or mixed. The aim is to gather input in a structured and constructive manner, allowing for an independent and balanced understanding of experiences related to the biennale.
Collecting this information is an important step towards developing a clear, evidence-based overview. The findings will be compiled into a report to be presented to the Malta Biennale’s executive board and relevant representatives, contributing to a transparent and constructive dialogue.
By contributing, participants help ensure that experiences are documented thoughtfully and can inform future developments.
As Malta Biennale 2026 approaches its closing on 29 May, this survey will remain open until 5 June to allow for final reflections following the conclusion of the event.
