Malta General Election Pledges for Arts and Culture
As part of its commitment to supporting informed discussion within Malta’s cultural and creative sectors, the Malta Entertainment Industry and Arts Association (MEIA) is providing direct access to the full political manifesto proposals related to arts, culture, media, creativity, and the wider creative economy ahead of the 2026 General Election.
This initiative is intended as a neutral and non-partisan resource for artists, cultural workers, organisations, freelancers, educators, producers, and members of the wider creative community who wish to review the proposals being put forward by political parties and movements contesting the election.
MEIA is not endorsing any political party or directing members of the community on how to vote. The purpose of this page is to make cultural policy proposals more accessible and encourage greater engagement with the national discussion surrounding the future of arts and culture in Malta.
Through the links above, members of the community may access and review the full manifestos directly from the respective parties and movements. MEIA encourages the cultural and creative sectors to engage critically and constructively with the proposals presented, particularly those addressing cultural infrastructure, artistic work, creative education, funding, taxation, publishing, film, digital rights, public investment, and the long-term sustainability of Malta’s creative ecosystem.
