Culture At Work - Unconference by MEIA
What is Culture At Work?
Culture at Work is a three-day unconference held across multiple locations, organised by MEIA to raise awareness and critically examine the role, impact, and responsibilities of culture and creativity in society.
It is designed to challenge, provoke, and inspire dialogue on fair practices, advocacy, technology, the creative economy and its value chains, wellbeing, and the future of cultural work. The programme fosters crossover thinking and creates space for conversations that connect different creative communities. International and local speakers will share not only their experience and knowledge, but also their perspectives on how we can move forward together.
An unconference is not a traditional conference,it is more open, participatory, and dynamic. Rather than one-way presentations, it creates a collaborative setting. The focus is on holistic value and concrete improvements: how culture functions in society, how we can make it fairer, and how to build capacity for the future. Culture at Work is a space for dialogue, inspiration, and provocation that leads to partnerships, learning, and action.
Who is Culture At Work for?
Culture at Work brings together diverse voices from across the cultural ecosystem to foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration. This unconference is designed for artists, educators, organisers, policymakers, cultural workers, and community builders who are passionate about strengthening the role of culture in society.
Whether you’re creating, teaching, advocating, or building connections within the cultural sector, this gathering offers a space for cross-sector collaboration and innovative thinking about the future of cultural work.
