Secondment opportunity with MEIA

Are you a public sector employee seeking a new professional challenge? The Malta Entertainment Industry Association (MEIA) invites expressions of interest for a secondment opportunity through a scheme managed by the Office of the Prime Minister. This scheme allows eligible public sector workers to be seconded to a voluntary organisation of their choice, including MEIA, for up to 12 months (renewable), while retaining their basic salary on a full- or part-time basis.

About the Secondment Scheme

This scheme allows eligible public sector workers to be seconded to MEIA for up to 12 months (renewable), while retaining their basic salary on a full-time or part-time basis.

MEIA is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to support its mission of strengthening Malta’s entertainment and creative sectors. As part of the team, the selected candidate will:

  • Coordinate committee meetings

  • Apply for local and European Funding

  • Administer Finances

  • Manage memberships and communications

  • Manage administrative duties and delegating tasks to our part time administrator

  • Manage relations with ministries and public institutions

  • Manage relations with partners and sponsors

  • Support in project management and logistics for events

This is a remote-first role, with some in-person presence required at events.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in the arts or entertainment industry, preferably

  • Qualifications in cultural management, media, or communications, which are considered an asset

  • A proactive and organised approach to work
